Welcome to the Georgia Medical Directors Association

GMDA is dedicated to the unique professional interests of medical directors, facilities, and associated professionals in Georgia’s long term care industry.

The Georgia Medical Directors Association (GMDA) is a state chapter of The Society for Post Acute and Long Term Care Medicine (AMDA). The purpose of GMDA is to represent members in the issues, values, causes, and concerns important to your practice and profession, and to work together to protect quality patient care in Georgia. GMDA provides education and resources to Medical Directors and the interdisciplinary team to keep everyone up to date on current issues and developments impacting the industry in order to effectively address clinical, professional, administrative, ethical, and public policy issues in long term care.

The aim of the GMDA website is to keep current and potential GMDA members up-to-date on pertinent GMDA chapter activities and on local and national issues in Long Term Care.  Your input and involvement is welcome.  On this site, GMDA will post original materials along with links to existing resources, tools,  articles and legislative information that we hope will help advance our mission to improve patient care and promote the professional development of long term care medical directors.  GMDA is here to help you provide the compassionate, quality care all long term care residents deserve.
